This is a platform where Amtrak gets trains ready that are about to head out. The train on the right is the Desert Wind that I would leave on in a few hours and the one on the left is the Empire Builder on which I arrived the night before.
The photos in this slide show were taken in the mid-1990's by Steve Grande on his Amtrak travels throughout the nation. The size of the photos is purposely smaller as disk space was expensive and download speeds were slower at that time.
