This is the Desert Wind Sleeping Car in which I would travel from Chicago, Illinois to Fullerton, California. The number on the car, 3630, means Train #36 Car #30. Train #36 is the eastbound Desert Wind. Before I board this train, the number would be changed to 3530. Train #35 is the westbound Desert Wind. When I took this photo, this car was still in the Chicago Amtrak Yard. I was in the middle of being given a tour of the yard and the car shops. We arrived at the train in the yellow electric work cart that you see in the front.
