If you are expecting from TrainWeb an e-mail reply, an account to be set up, your web site to be added to the TrainWeb Webring, a link added, or any other activity from TrainWeb, there may be a delay of a few days.

I will be departing on Tuesday evening, December 14, 1999, on the Amtrak Sunset Limited for Orlando. Since there are no overnight hotel stays off the train until I arrive into Florida on Friday evening, I will not be reconnecting to the internet during that time. I will download my e-mail one last time on Tuesday afternoon and will not be able to reply or download further e-mail until Friday evening, December 17, 1999. I will be retrieving my voice-mail messages and will be in touch with the office by cell phone daily from the train.

Historically, I have been able to get a lot of work done during my long Amtrak travels and been able to clear out much of my work backlog. Without the interruption of phone calls and new e-mail arriving hourly, the long hours on the train provide an ideal work environment, not to mention the great view of passing scenery!

Because of school schedules, the rest of my family and friends that will be visiting Disney World will be flying both ways. This will be my fourth trip to Disney World, the third by rail, since 1995. This will be the first time traveling round-trip to Disney World in a Standard Bedroom instead of in the Family Room with the rest of my family.

Click here for more information about the Amtrak Sunset Limited route including route guides, travelogues of my past rail trips and travelogues from other visitors to TrainWeb!

My return trip will start on Christmas Day, Saturday, December 25, 1999, and I should be back to California early Tuesday morning, December 28, 1999. Once again, I'll be able to get quite a bit done during the rail journey but I will not be able to get online from Saturday through Monday.

So, please be patient if you are waiting for any reply or activity on my part. Since there is so much to get done and to get ready for this trip, I have to confine my activity between now, Monday, and my departure on Tuesday evening, to just the most essential tasks. If I don't get something that you are waiting for done before I depart, it will probably be completed shortly after my arrival in Florida late Friday, December 17, 1999.
