TrainWeb BacklogMonday, September 3rd, 1997We have just moved TrainWeb to the Fullerton Santa Fe Depot, right upstairs from Amtrak (120 East Santa Fe Avenue, Fullerton, CA 92832). This move has added a few more days to what is already a significant backlog. I do read all the e-mail that I receive. I then sort it by urgency and by how long it will take me to answer. I try to place requests regarding urgent travel plans first. If you have asked for help with your travel plans, I will try to reply as soon before your travel as possible. However, if your travel dates are a bit in the future, please be patient in waiting for my reply. Next, I reply to any e-mail that is easy and fast for me to answer. All other e-mail that is not urgent will receive a response from me as I work my way through my backlog. Many of you have submitted travelogues and photographs to me. I do appreciate those submissions. You will eventually see them posted here, though it might take a while. Always check the "What's New" section at TrainWeb. I always post a link in "What's New" to each new item that I post at TrainWeb. Thus, you will eventually see a link to your travelogues or photographs posted there. If you have submitted a request for a link from TrainWeb, that link will be posted within 5 to 7 days of your request. Requests for links should be sent by e-mail to: links@trainweb.com. Take a look at the TrainWeb Links page at: "http://trainweb.com/links.html". Decide which is the correct category for your link and include that in your e-mail message. If you have requested to volunteer to help out at TrainWeb, I will be giving that e-mail a lot of priority! I will be trying to figure out ways that various volunteers can help clear up this backlog and improve response time from TrainWeb. Some volunteer help can be done at your own home. For those of you that live in Southern California, we could also use some volunteer help at our office in the Fullerton Amtrak Station. For those of you that have send e-mail, travelogues and other information and requests to TrainWeb, we really do appreciate your patience and understanding!
