This page features e-mail that people have sent to me asking questions
about Amtrak train travel and my replies. Answers to many of the questions
I am asked are of general interest. Thus, I have posted those e-mail
messages and replies here for the benefit of everyone.
This section of TrainWeb Travel is actually a bit obsolete. You will
probably find the information from several of the postings below
to be timeless and quite useful. However, I'm not sure that I will
continue this feature at TrainWeb. Instead, you should join the
TrainWeb Amtrak & VIArail Travel Discussion List. There is even an
archive of prior posts that you might find quite useful and interesting.
You can post your questions and comments to this list and read the posts,
responses and comments of others about rail travel.
