The VIP Sleeping Cars are the Superliner II Cars "Arkansas" and "Texas" temporarily borrowed from the Amtrak Coast Starlight for this event. The last four coaches will be turned at San Antonio and added to the return Texas Eagle #22 to accommodate the return VIP crowd. The VIP cars will be open to all passengers since a lot of the people onboard to celebrate this inaugural event are also in the regular revenue sleeping cars and coaches.
