Amtrak Texas Eagle / California Service Updates

Subject: {All-Aboard} Eagle inaugural

The second sleeping car (added to the inaugural run of the Texas
Eagle-California Service) has sold out, except for bits of space between
intermediate points. A third sleeper will reportedly be added to inventory
within the next day or so. Persons planning to ride the Eagle inaugural
run, and desiring sleeper accommodations, should make reservations as soon
as this sleeper is added to inventory. [The second sleeper appeared in the
system at approximately noon on January 9, and was essentially sold out by
the morning of January 13.]

The Texas Eagle-California Service departures from Chicago on February 13
and February 20 are now nearly sold out for sleeper accommodations. These
trains are currently programmed with one sleeper, but it appears that the
demand for through service, without the current change of cars in San
Antonio, will require a larger first class inventory for these trains.
