Built About 1617. However, twice that I've been through here, I have yet to see the mission! The train just about always stops on this segment of track to let a freight train go by. While waiting here, you can read the sign out the window that you see in this slide. It tells about the mission, but there is no mission in sight!
The photos in this slide show were taken in the mid-1990's by Steve Grande on his Amtrak travels throughout the nation. The size of the photos is purposely smaller as disk space was expensive and download speeds were slower at that time.
