The third set of "Surfliner" equipment arrived into Los Angeles on Thursday, August 10, 2000 deadheading on a late westbound Amtrak Southwest Chief. The above photograph of a Surfliner car was taken as the Amtrak Southwest Chief departed from Fullerton, California at 12:45 P.M.
