It's time to turn up the heat on Congress...................

1) It has been brought to my attention that the Toll Free Telephone number
for the Washington switchboard for contacting your elected officials has been
changed to 
1-888-723-5246.

Please turn up the heat by calling for the support of Amtrak.

2) The procedure for getting House e-mail addresses from the House web site
has changed this spring -- now you go through web site
, where you type in your zip code and then
you can either send a message or go to your representative's web site.  If
you don't have web access, ask me if I know of an e-mail address for that
office (they don't all have them yet).

3)Also, contact your Senator to oppose any changes to Senator Roth's Amtrak
language during budget reconciliation debate.  Senate e-mail addresses are
still at web site .
*Always* include your name and mailing address when e-mailing Congress.
